Born in Greater London in 1990, Daisy graduated in Fashion Design from Central Saint Martins in 2014. She was the winner of the 2016 international designer at The World of Wearable Arts in New Zealand. After working with Louis Vuitton and Atelier, her work developed from fashion into sculpture, but still remains rooted in fabric manipulation and figure. Daisy has now created her own technique called the art of ‘Squishy’.
In 2017, Daisy became a member of The 62 Group of Textile Artists. Her sculptural work is based on traditional free machine quilting, pushing the traditional craft of quilting to the extreme. The technique used here is no longer recognizable as quilting in the traditional sense, but the fundamental idea of sandwiching fabric is the same. Transforming the soft sculptures, Daisy brings the figure characters to life in her whimsical short videos.
Daisy has exhibited widely, with work showing at the biggest textile event in the UK this year, The Knitting & Stitching Show.
