Self Portraits by contemporary artists
An exhibition providing a snapshot of our contemporary culture and time, through self portraits created by
artists with very different artistic tastes and interests. The exhibition will comprise art works from new and
established artists, working in a wide cross section of art forms.
All of the artists involved have been invited to create a self portrait in whichever medium they prefer; including painting, sculpture, ceramic, installations and music. ‘SELFIES’ will invite the viewer to explore the many different ways a self portrait can be made and will include works by internationally acclaimed artists: photographer John Angerson, Hell Boy and Star Wars artist Duncan Fegredo, musician Edwyn Collins, Ann Carrington, Ken Currie, Marcus Harvey, Paul Reid, John Byrne, Yukako Sakakura, Nicholas Jolly, Mark Demsteader, Rob and Nick Carter, Julian Opie, Jock McFadyen, Andrew Tyzack
