‘For the Love of Dance’ – A New 2025 Exhibition at 108 Fine Art Gallery, Harrogate
We are excited to announce ‘For the Love of Dance’ exhibition at 108 Fine Art Gallery in Harrogate. This exhibition will run from Saturday 15th February to Friday 21st March 2025. It will feature the works of two distinguished artists, Andrian Melka and Selina Thorp. Their pieces offer unique perspectives on ballet and theatre through sculpture and painting.
Andrian Melka’s Sculpture: Capturing Ballet in Motion
Andrian Melka’s sculptures focus on the movement and emotion of ballet dancers. He highlights their strength and individuality, capturing the essence of performance. His works reveal not only the dancer’s physical form, but also their inner expressions. This personal portrayal brings the artistry of ballet to life in a way that is rarely seen.
Selina Thorp’s Paintings: The Energy of Live Performance
Selina Thorp’s pastel and acrylic paintings offer a different interpretation of ballet and theatre. Inspired by her live observations at the Grand Theatre in Leeds, her vibrant works reflect the energy and atmosphere of the stage. Through her art, she captures the immediacy of performance, bringing the audience closer to the action.
