In 2019 the first five tracks were recorded under the name ‘Familial’ at Post Electric Studios in Edinburgh, with Calum Stewart, and India Stewart – filmmaker. This was followed with five new musical offerings in 2020 under the name ‘1.0.8.’, working in collaboration with musician and producer Jason Odle. The resulting EP ‘Nine Times Twelve’ involved a growing number of musicians and other creatives, with the idea of extending this process indefinitely. Dave Dunn-Birch played Sousaphone, Tenor Horn, Trombone, and Tuba on the ‘Magical Days’ track along with Joe Roughton who played Trumpet and Flugal Horn. Scarlett and India Stewart sung backing vocals on ‘SIRENS’ and were also actively involved with the staging, directing, filming and photography for the videos’ which accompany each track. 1.0.8. also coaxed on board the Edinburgh based cinematographer Sergiu Timar.
The most recent track ‘Life Express’ is the first track to be released from the album ‘DEVOTION’ for release March 2022. Three of the album tracks have been played on BBC Introducing in recent weeks.
